sponsor a stud
Help build a home by sponsoring a STUD!
• Studs are 2″x 4″ and 92 5/8″ tall.
• It takes over 300 studs to frame each home.
• Studs are available to sponsor at the cost of $200 each.
• Sponsored studs can be decorated with your name, group name, logos, or messages to the family who will live in the home!
These studs will be used to build the walls of the next Habitat house.
Are you enthusiastic about spreading awareness of Habitat for Humanity’s work locally?
Do you want to fundraise for more homes to help families realise their dream of home ownership?
Hosting a fundraiser is a fun and easy way to engage others from your religious groups, workplaces, schools, sports teams, families and social circles! 100% of the funds you raise will go directly to our builds to give our partner families a hand up, not a hand out.
No fundraiser is too small or too big! Habitat for Humanity will play an important role in ensuring you run the event successfully.
Women Build is a way to motivate women around the same cause and allow women to network with others in their community. It is a day to ease the intimidation of working on a build site which is typically a male dominated profession. Women will learn new skills and practice them as they contribute to the building of a home, feeling a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. This serves to increase a woman’s self-esteem and empowers her for future projects. It’s also an opportunity to train more women to work effectively and help to increase Habitat for Humanity’s build capacity. Come see and support the women of the Kingston Limestone Region and Habitat for Humanity as we partner to end substandard housing in our communities.
